GRAN TEATRO PUCCINI IN TORRE DEL LAGO

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2024, the Soroptimist Club Viareggio Versilia organizes, in collaboration with Fidapa Viareggio, Amici del Festival Pucciniano and Fondazione Festival Pucciniano, the event "WOMEN YESTERDAY AND TODAY", which will be held in the Caruso room of theatre Puccini in Torre del Lago on Sunday 10 March at 4.30 pm. The show “From Puccini with love” will be staged, directed and written by Nicola Fanucchi, which will take place with the performance of arias from the Maestro's works interpreted by the soprano Silvana Froli and the tenor Alfonso Zambuto, accompanied by the Lucensis quintet and the acting of the actressRebecca Fanucchi. Do the tormented loves of Mimì, Tosca,Cosa-San,Liù have anything in common? Do their passions resemble those of our era or are they museum material?

A millennial searching for the meaning of life asks herself this on the day of her first encounter with the strange world of opera.

Who knows if experiencing Puccini's most famous love duets first hand will help her find some answers or make her even more confused.
