Third edition of Pilgrim's Art 25-26-27-28 April at the Mint of Lucca.

The event celebrates three years: one of this year’s novelties is what it will see the entire structure of the Ancient Mint of Lucca open, with free entry, both in the usual Congress Hall (Piazzale Verdi entrance) and in the Museum (Mura entrance) so as to offer visitors a wide choice of interests. L’Art of the Pilgrim it is the result of constant collaboration between various associations, such as: The Dream of Constantine Odvthe Promo-Terr, Flag-Wavers and Musicians of the City of Lucca association, and is part of the ViviLucca 24 of the Municipality of Lucca.

The event begins, again this year, with the painting extemporaneous which will see artists from all over the provinceengage in this art competition: the theme of this edition will be Streets and wayfarers in Lucca. The works created will remain on display until May 1stthe day on which the winners will be announced, a technical jury composed of Renato Gerard, Andrea Pucci and Michele Lovi established local artists.

But it won’t be the only exhibition present, in fact you can admire it: the photographic exhibition by Luca Boschi will also be the protagonist Moments experienced on the Way. There will be many meetings linked to the paths, distributed over the four days of the event, from that of Pinocchio (for the Collodian bicentenary) to that of Jubilee 2025 held by the archbishop of Lucca Paolo Giulietti but there will be space for stories on wild herbs with Marco Pardini, naturopath and ethnobotanist.

There will be the opportunity to learn the history of the pilgrims of the Middle Ages , visiting the places in the city where their testimonies have survived (the Mansions of the Knights Templar and the Tau of Altopascio) thanks to the guided tour on Sunday 28 April, On the pilgrim paths . Last, but not least, the shows offered in the festival, starting with the one that officially opens the event thanks to the historic group of the Flag-wavers and Musicians of the city of Lucca and ending at Gionata Francesconi's Puppet Theater with the show An infinite journey : the protagonist The unmissable Masticabrodo , a show for adults and children on Sunday 28th at 11am (free entry). The organizers remind you that every day it will be possible to validate the Pilgrim's credentials and that during the four days it will be possible to receive refreshments provided by the Aquileia Village Committee Association with the Pilgrim's Meal .
