Very Archived - The Festival and the Night of the Archives

From 6 to 9 June Archivissima pulsates with passion together with all the archives that have decided to participate in this edition.

Over 450 museums, 100 new members, 22 territorial or thematic networks, around 180 events in the area, hundreds of unpublished digital contents tell us that Archivissima has become a great and long-awaited celebration for all archives , a path of valorisation and promotion of the Archives, unique in Italy and Europe.

Again this year on 7 June the Municipal Historical Archive of Lucca will participate in Archivissima, the national Festival dedicated to historical archives.

On the occasion of the Night of Archives, the researchers from the IMT School involved in the project "Archives in the Network", propose two guided tours to see and touch with hand a selection of photographic materials preserved at the Lucchese Photographic Archive and the Lucca Municipal Historical Archive, and to experiment with how it happens archive research and what paths, stories and passions can emerge from the analysis of photography.
