Musica Ragazzi

  • Boccherini Auditorium Piazza del Suffragio (map)

Since 2007 , children and young people in Lucca schools, from nursery school to high school, have been able to enjoy a season of concerts and musical events dedicated to them and tailor-made for the various age groups . This is “Musica ragazzi” , an initiative promoted by the Associazione Musicale Lucchese and curated with passion and expertise by Professor Carla Nolledi .

An event born and conceived to introduce children and young people to listening to music (not only classical music) in a simple but not superficial way, to contribute to their personal and cultural growth, allowing the most sensitive institutes and teachers to go and make up for a serious lack of some grades of primary and secondary school, where music is not contemplated.

FRIDAY 31ST JANUARY: MEETING WITH PROVINCIAL YOUTH BAND ANBIMA (For everyone)

The provincial youth band is a wind and percussion orchestra made up of 60 young people between 12 and 25 years old, coming from middle and high school institutes in the province of Lucca. An opportunity, an example, to make the educational, artistic and social character known to our school audience. MORE INFO

For participating schools it is possible to book a discounted ticket to attend the concert.

Music is art, it is science, it is a language that nourishes human intelligence.Listening to music is an experience that involves the totality of the person because it is an integral part and witness of the human story. Music is an immediate language par excellence that we somehow internalize. Musica Ragazzi wants to enhance it, beyond spontaneous pleasure, to stimulate musical memory and accompany the understanding of the complexity and depth of music.

The program includes musical moments that propose different ways of listening and active participation, meetings with the AML's guest musicians, original shows to learn about the great composers from Lucca such as Luigi Boccherini and Giacomo Puccini, the opportunity for the many school orchestras to perform for the public and make themselves known to the children and families of other institutes and also valuable interdisciplinary workshops.
