The European Night of Museums will be celebrated on Saturday 18 May 2024 . Now in its twentieth edition this year, the initiative takes place simultaneously throughout Europe and is headed by the French Ministry of Culture and benefits from the patronage of the Council of Europe, UNESCO and ICOM, with the aim of encouraging and promote knowledge of national and European cultural heritage and identity.

At Orto Botanico Lucca at 16:30 presentation of the book RONZII, stories of bees and other pollinators by author Giovanna Olivieri.
At the Museum Fondazione Barsanti e Matteucci extraordinary opening for free from 11 am to 11 pm of the two halls where you can learn the history of the explosive engine.
At the Museum of Fondazione Paolo Cresci for the history of Italian emigration in the afternoon and evening, visitors will have the opportunity to be accompanied for free on the “journey” of the emigrants of the past thanks to the use of a 3D Visor for an immersive viewing of the Chapel of Santa Maria della Rotonda, headquarters of the Museum. At Musei nazionali Lucca from 19:30 to 22:30 (last entry 21.30). Entry fee for 1 euro there are thematic tours by the staff who will surprise you with fascinating stories, anecdotes, legends.
At the National Museum of Villa Guinigi at 21.00 they will accompany you on a walk in the Villa and at the National Museum of Palazzo Mansi on a trip in the past, all taken care of by the staff.
