Buena Vista Social Club, a film directed by Wim Wenders, sees the American musician Ry Cooder bring together a group of Cuban singers and musicians, aged between 80 and 92, in Havana. We don't just talk about music, we also make it. Together they play and sing, but old memories also stir among the musical notes and a great enthusiasm arises, which leads Cooder to ask them to take part in a tour. This is how two concerts open to the public are performed: in Amsterdam, Holland, and in New York, at Carnegie Hall. Some members of the group find themselves in the Big Apple for the first time and stop to observe the skyscrapers and chaotic traffic in wonder. From concerts we arrive at a recording studio, between serious commitments and moments of pure fun. MORE INFO
