Anselm, a documentary in German with Italian subtitles, directed by Wim Wenders, is the director's homage to the German sculptor Anselm Kiefer.
A specialist in steel, lead and concrete, Kiefer is one of the major contemporary artists and has been exhibited in the world's largest museums. The film is a look at his major works but also at his thoughts and life. A portrait of the Germany where Anselm was born and how it influenced his works.
The sculptor, who now lives in Barjac in the south of France, on his large estate La Ribaute, created a forest of strange towers, giant cubes, monumental works and a complex network of underground passages that we are told about in this documentary. MORE INFO
