On Saturday 28 September 2024, the historic centre of Lucca will be transformed into an open-air set for Lucca Effetto Cinema, a unique evening dedicated to the world of cinema and the performing arts.

Under the artistic direction of Irene Passaglia, twenty theatre and dance companies will give life to exclusive performances, each inspired by a famous film and paired with one of the venues in the historic centre. The most deserving performances will be awarded on Sunday 29 September, during the Lucca Film Festival. In addition to the numerous performances that will enliven every corner of the city, this year the programme also offers unmissable main events, such as the Painting Competition, the LEC spin-off “Bridgerton Effect” and the Wimbledon parade that will make the evening even more memorable.
