Jasmine Paolini returns home for a day, and all of Bagni di Lucca, where she began her first steps in her tennis career, is ready to pay homage to 'her' Olympic champion, with a morning entirely dedicated to her at the Circolo dei Forestieri. The event, a celebration day for the tennis player who won gold in doubles in Paris 2024 paired with Sara Errani, in the year that saw her reach the final at Roland Garros and Wimbledon and win the WTA 100 in Dubai and the Billie Kean King Cup, will be held on Tuesday 4 February starting from 12pm. The Municipality of Bagni di Lucca together with the Tuscany Region, with the precious contribution of the companies Eurovast and BigMat, organized the event of thanks and celebration of its most illustrious daughter, who currently sits in fourth place in the WTA world ranking.
The initiative will be held in the pink room of the Circolo dei Forestieri where the tennis champion will be welcomed by the speeches of the mayor of Bagni di Lucca, Paolo Michelini, and the president of the Region, Eugenio Giani, who for the occasion will award her the Pegasus of Tuscany Region, the institution's highest recognition. A tribute, commemorating the day, will also be delivered by the Municipality of Bagni di Lucca. In addition to the mayor, there will be the municipal councilor for events, Priscilla Valentino, and the councilor for sport, Silvano Salotti, to pay homage to her.
After the institutional interventions, the space will be all for the protagonist of the event, Jasmine Paolini, who will be prompted by questions from the Rai journalist, Sara Meini, moderator of the event. There will also be space for the public, who will ask the athlete a few questions about his sporting activity, his connection with Bagni di Lucca and his future goals.
After the usual photos, everyone took to the square to reveal an award designed by the municipal administration for the champion, in the presence of the institutions and children of the city schools.
An event not to be missed for tennis and sport enthusiasts in general, but not only. The appointment is on February 4th from 12pm at the Circolo dei Forestieri, in Piazza Jean Varraud in Bagni di Lucca.
