Chocolate lovers you will be in paradise this weekend as the Artisan Chocolate Festival comes to town In Piazza Napoleone, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 March! Handmade artisanal chocolate for you to taste and buy, demonstrations, chocolate making workshops and more. www.festedelcioccolato.it/prenotazione-laboratori
The Tour of the National Chocolate Festivals of the "Choco Amore", National Chocolatiers Association, has been bringing this noble food to the best Italian squares for over 10 years, proposed in the various regional recipes of the Master Chocolatiers from various parts of Italy. From the refined pralines to the spices, from the gianduiotto with all the Piedmontese specialities, to the chocolate with dried fruit typical of southern Italy, to the spicy, to the cremino and, to the delight of children or those who want to give a nice gift, there will be the famous and unique "chocolate objects" from Choco Passion of Merate (LC), unique in the world.
The secret to the success of this traveling initiative lies in the quality of the chocolate: an artisanal product without additives and preservatives, produced in limited quantities and difficult to find on the market. A chocolate for true connoisseurs, therefore, which has nothing to do with commercial chocolate. A product that should be consumed fresh to fully enjoy its unique aroma.
Tasting artisanal chocolate is an unmissable sensory experience for which the expression "melts in your mouth" is the most apt.
Not only that, eating artisanal chocolate is also good for your health, because cocoa contains numerous beneficial properties for the body: it is an excellent antidepressant and helps blood circulation. Its benefits have been well known for centuries, so much so that the Mayans and Aztecs considered it "the food of the Gods". It is precisely for this reason that one of the main aims of the initiative is to raise awareness of the conscious and responsible consumption of genuine foods.
The Artisan Chocolate Festival in Lucca will be a real sweet village: over the three days of the event, expert master chocolatiers will hold demonstrations and workshops to show the public chocolate processing techniques and to share secrets and curiosities about this fascinating world. It will be a unique opportunity to discover the art of creating high quality artisanal chocolate.
