30th LUCCAUTORI LITERARY FESTIVAL - Lucca, 5 – 20 OCTOBER 2024
Culture, art and entertainment at the thirtieth edition of the LuccAutori festival, also this year combined with the Stories in the Network Literary Prize, now in its twenty-third edition. The meetings will be held in Lucca at the Cred room, Palazzo Bernardini, Villa Bottini and in Barga at the Roma cinema. The artistic direction is by Demetrio Brandi while the host is Elena Marchini.
First appointment, Saturday 5 October at 10 am at the Cred conference room with the journalist and writer Chiara Lico, a well-known face of Tg2 Rai. Meeting organized with the Order of Journalists of Tuscany, Fondazione Giornalisti della Toscana, and the Circolo della stampa of Lucca. We will talk about sport, citizenship and integration through the story of Sirine Charaabi, athlete of the Italian women's boxing team, protagonist of the book "Il ring" (Giunti) written by Chiara Lico.
LuccAutori deals with literature but also marries art and cinema. Space for contemporary art with some exhibitions such as the one dedicated to Giacomo Puccini, “Un bel dì vedremo” curated by Stefano Giraldi; “Racconti a colori”, which involves the students of the Passaglia art school in the creation of drawings inspired by the stories that won the literary prize. And this year the exhibition “Thirty years of LuccAutori” with the now historic images of the great names of culture who were guests of the literary festival.
For several years the Immagina Cinema School, directed by Giuseppe Ferlito, has been involved, which creates the short film in Lucca of the winning subject of the shorts section of the prize.
Among the awards that will be assigned during the LuccAutori Festival are the Buduàr prize for the best humorous story, the Happyin prize for the best travel story and the AIDR Foundation prize for the youngest winner.
All scheduled meetings are free to attend and the final days will be broadcast live on the “raccontinellarete” YouTube page.
The original drawing of the 2024 anthology was created by illustrator Fabio Sironi. The important cultural collaborations continue with Rai, Mario Tobino Foundation, Rotary Club Lucca, Giovanni Pascoli Foundation, Italian Digital Revolution Foundation and with the “Antonio Semeria” Sanremo Casinò literary prize.
