They wrote the only James Bond song to reach No. 1 in the US, while David Lynch directed their concert film. You can hear samples of them in songs by many artists, from The Notorious B.I.G. to 5 Seconds of Summer, and in tribute covers by Muse, Deftones and others. Rio was listed in Q's "100 Greatest British Albums", NME's "100 Greatest Albums of All Time" and Pitchfork's "Top 100 Albums of the 1980s". Summing up their impact on the music scene Vanity Fair stated: "Duran Duran have always stood for constant innovation and the 'new'." Thanks to their penchant and flair for fashion, rock music has never been the same after their appearance. Their impact as style icons has been well documented by WWD, Vogue and others. Among sold-out shows around the world, 2021's FUTURE PAST saw the group garner widespread acclaim from Salon, Rolling Stone and other major publications.

Throughout their incredible career, which began in Birmingham in 1978, Duran Duran have always reveled in the "shadows", playing with artistic, aesthetic and emotional extremes. As much as you can dance and shout to the timeless song of Hungry Like the Wolf, Ordinary World or Rio, the most natural thing is to do it under the lights of the night. They're the ultimate soundtrack for sharing secrets quietly on the dance floor before the lights come up. Now, the iconic British quartet unearths bright melodies from the darkness, bringing together new songs, covers and alternate takes on classics on their 16th and latest album.
