Civil War, a film directed by Alex Garland, is set in the near future, in which the United States is fighting an exhausting civil war due to polarization between opposing factions. Hostilities have moved from social media into reality, leading to a real armed conflict. While two candidates fight to sit in the presidential chair of the White House, the armed forces attack civilians and journalists are shot on Capitol Hill.
