The concert "Chet, we remember you" will be held on Monday 13 May at 9pm at the Teatro del Giglio, which the Giglio dedicates to the legendary Chet Baker , one of the greatest trumpeters and jazz singers of the last century. The protagonists of the concert are four exceptional performers - Giovanni Tommaso, Enrico Rava, Rita Marcotulli and Roberto Gatto - for a performance that already has the flavor of the event , and which includes jazz classics in the lineup that Baker has performed several times in the his artistic life.

An ensemble of great artistic standing, starting from the founder of the Quintetto di Lucca, the Lucchese double bass player Giovanni Tommaso , who with Baker, as with many other internationally renowned performers, moreover, shared the stage for an entire tour. Together with him the trumpeter Enrico Rava , who appeared on the jazz scene in the mid-1960s and quickly established himself as one of the most important and appreciated soloists of European jazz. At the piano Rita Marcotulli, one of the most successful pianists and composers on the contemporary jazz scene. The group is completed by drummer Roberto Gatto , who since his debut in 1975 has played throughout Europe and the rest of the world with his groups and together with other international artists.

Tickets for the “Chet, we remember you” concert are offered to subscribers of the 2023-2024 Theater Season at a discounted price :

• €15.00 for first seats (stall and central boxes);

• €10.00 for second seats (gallery and side boxes).
