Esteemed by international critics as "one of the Italian excellences in the field of ancient music" for its interpretative verve "which combines an extraordinary and inspired vitality with philological rigor", Il Rossignolo is a group specialized in the study and performance of ancient music on instruments historians, founded and coordinated by the flautists Marica Testi, Martino Noferi and the harpsichordist Ottaviano Tenerani, who is also its director. Rossignolo has a recording agreement with Sony Classical International. The first fruit of this collaboration was the recording of Germanicus, a work rediscovered by the group and attributed to Georg Friedrich Händel. The album was reviewed by newspapers and specialized magazines as "a global success" and received recognition in France, Great Britain, Germany and Italy. The next album - Telemann Virtuoso - was reviewed as "exceptional" by various specialized publications such as Fanfare (USA) and Musica (ITA) and included among the best 25 albums of the year by Artribune.
